I am an overseas architect. I studied Architecture and Urbanism in Peru, my home country.

During my last year at Uni, I started working for architectural firms and also as a freelance architect. I can still remember my first project, a beach house, very nice to say it was designed by a "fresh" architect (now I am not sure if I like it!).

Anyway, my portfolio also includes commercial, work-spaces but generally I designed residential projects. I developed them from the conception of the idea to the construction on-site, until the final touches of the interior design. I learned so much during my professional experience, probably more than at Uni!

Circumstances, actually happy circumstances, made me move to England permanently. My life started from scratch here.

I wanted all my life to study an MA, but certainly I didn't know on what subject. Living in England makes me realise how our lifestyles are generating a big impact on our environment. I realised that climate change is something that is happening now (that thought never reached my head before). As I am not a politician, I decided that I have to do something but in my field.  So there you have it, I'm a student again.

I have chosen the MA in Architecture, Sustainability and Design and I have really big expectations. I hope one day I can go back to Peru and apply my experience gained here in the UK.
